I used to work with James occasionally when I was at BT. My abiding memory of him was fun and laughter and always ready to fall in with and improve our, sometimes off the wall, plans.... He also brought people with him through his warmth and humour and because of this, when he made serious points people listened, learned and speaking for myself, have never forgotten. He has gone too soon and I send my thoughts and deepest sympathy to his family and close friends.
